This course will address the programming and application of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Hands-on instruction in industrial type applications of PLCs requiring motion control and a study of automated manufacturing and the functions of PLCs in an industrial environment is provided. Coverage will include timers, counters, program control, data manipulation, math instructions sequencers, shift registers, types of PLC systems, PLC installation, editing, troubleshooting, process control, data acquisition, PLC networks and computer-controlled machines? processes.  Tuition fee includes textbook.
