Build core strength and increase overall flexibility through a series of exercises that focus on specific muscle groups. Pilates can benefit everyone, from young to mature when practiced regularly. Positive results of Pilates: improves posture and balance, prevents back pain, reduces stress, enhances athletic conditioning, deepens yoga practice, provides injury prevention, increases body awareness, and boosts immune system. Exercises will be modified to offer a safe yet challenging workout for beginner to intermediate levels. Class is not recommended for pregnant women. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a Pilates mat, towel, and water bottle. Exercise props will be provided. Bring a stretch band and 3 lbs. or less hand weights when needed.
